NOEL RODRIGUEZ

Noel RodriguezInternational performer and instructor, Noel Rodriguez, has quickly become one of Philadelphia’s hottest young rising stars in the Salsa community. Former member of renowned dance company Art In Motion Latin Dancers, Noel traveled across the country performing in Salsa Congresses showcasing his unique ability and talent. Noel has also been a featured entertainer with La Luna Entertainment Group performing at Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar at the Tropicana Resort & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.

Noel is well versed in several forms of Latin dance including New York style Mambo, LA style Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and Cha Cha making him a versatile dance instructor. His smooth style, fast footwork and outrageous turn patterns attract many students to his classes. Known for his approachable demeanor and never-ending smile, Noel can always be found dancing with students from beginner to advanced until the last song of the night. Noel found his passion for salsa at La Luna Dance Studio several years ago as a student and now has returned as an instructor bringing with him a wealth of experience and knowledge. Noel teaches group and private lessons for all levels.

Simone Coonrod

Simone CoonrodSimone uniquely combines musical education, dance studies, athletic training, and a natural gift for musical movement while embodying her studio’s motto “Where Artistry Meets Fun”. Her enthusiastic study of dance has brought her into many different worlds and styles of dance and movement with a passion for understanding it’s essence. The creator of Moving Beat Studio® and Swinging with Simone®, she has kept her studio alive for 15 years bringing her vision of dance to national and local workshops, universities, public schools, and the public at large receiving a lot of attention in the press. As a passionate artist, Simone has taught and studied in Argentina, Italy, Cuba, Switzerland, England, Bulgaria, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru and Japan. Simone is one of the pioneers of the resurgence of swing dance in Manhattan in the 90’s and has won numerous competitions. She was instrumental in bringing a swing dance to New Jersey.

Simone’s varied dance troupe performances include Modern, Swing, Latin, Polish, Mexican, and Russian. Her various performances include Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, PBS, Irving Plaza, and The Newark Museum.

Simone’s other credits include a MA in Music Performance and a champion gymnast in the university level.


Marck “Flaco” Best

Marck "Flaco" BestFlaco is a performing artist of Cuban and African American descent and a proud native of Philadelphia, PA. He is one of only 5 dancers honored by the city of Philadelphia for his contributions to the city’s rich tapestry of arts and cultural heritages by being awarded the Liberty Bell. While widely regarded as a Salsa and Latin rhythms specialist, his expertise expands to include Ballroom as well as many American folk styles.

Flaco is also one of the founding teaching artists in residency in the public & parochial schools of Philadelphia instructing children in the Dancing Classrooms curriculum, which was the subject of the very popular documentary film, “Mad, Hot Ballroom! He also administers the American Ballroom Theater of New York’s Saturday Scholarship Program and serves in the capacity of Artistic Director & choreographer of its performance troupe.

Flaco is a gifted teacher whose perspective is reflected in his professional motto:

“I don’t teach dance. Dance is the just subject matter. I teach people.

I teach people how to dance.”


Liliana Attar

Liliana AttarLiliana Attar is the Director of Creative Bridges Institute, “New Jersey State Winner of a National Civic Star Award Program”. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Arts in Education, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has performed children plays, her own choreography and other works in Argentina and the United States. Liliana was the Artistic Director of Connections Dance Theater and is the creator of the DVD series “Spanish is Alive!” for parents, children and Spanish educators. Liliana directs Artist-In-Residence, performances, professional development programs, programs for parents, consultation and conferences all over the Nation and Argentina.
